Letting Go
I am the wounded weeping widow.
I am the lonely, lost soldier, but I am brave and strong.
I am the shining star in my parent's eyes
I once was a twin; at least that’s what everyone thought
Until you left me.
Older siblings definitely are annoying
But as soon as you left, my life got boring.
I feel like an only child
so I hope that my life gets more wilder.
I hope that you don’t fully let me go, but I know how much you want to be on your own.
A new journey will soon begin for me!
Let's hope we can both get some degrees
Living miles and miles apart is hard
But as Grandma says we always have an angel who guards.
I know you have to go….
oh by the way Mom and Dad say “hello”

It is about my brother leaving for college. My brother and I are 11 months apart and grew up doing everything together. Everyone used to think that we were twins.
