The Whispers of Many Words

Slowly speak your words.

I’ll slowly hear your words.

I’ll slowly feel your words

They sink in,

they swirl,

they spill,

They become part of my skin.

Words are what you struggle to say

Words are what I can’t decipher.

Words are what I use for fire

Words are what you use for water.

Slowly spell your words for me,

graciously

cautiously

repeatedly.

I’ll slowly scramble my words to you,

intentional

susceptible

Subtle but not quite soft.

Your words touch with silk

And my words draw your blood.

Your last word softly stops

But I’ve forgotten how to speak

My last word has run out of time

Although I can’t remember what your last word was

Written on the line.

"The Whispers of Many Words" is a piece about hurting someone who would never do the same to you. It urges the reader to not hurt someone who has given you their all - because, once you realize what you've done, it might be too late.

About Me:

Hi! I'm Shazana and I am 15 years old. I live in Ontario, Canada, and have wanted to be a writer for practically my entire life. When I'm not writing, I can be found cooking, baking, getting lost in my favourite songs, and hanging with my cuddly (but crazy) cat, Minnie.
