The Fear of Pain
The bird drifts through wind.
as it sings a song of life to its kin.
While crying out brave words
in hopes of being heard.
The rapids run through the rushing river,
leaving destruction
and making animals quiver.
The rodents run and hide
as the lion roars to show its Pride.
In the end nothing is safe.
The world feels a need to take.
We can choose to sit and ponder,
or take a stand and help the world to not go under.

As people we all share the universal fear of pain. In this piece the fear of pain is depicted in nature, and how there comes a point where change needs to be made.
