My Time in Mindsprings
My time in Mindsprings
I remember it fondly
being almost beat to death
but only mentally.
They tried to fix me
by hitting my mind harder
I was told I’d be trapped forever
and saw someone almost martyred
they ate a piece of velcro
and themselves they almost slaughtered
Oh my time in Mindsprings
I remember it potently
the halls were so small
and the floor so pointy
I was taken there by strangers
in a van through the thick of night
the receptionist was gone when I got there
and I could smell throughout the air, a blight
And in my times in Mindsprings
I was restrained by the things
they grabbed and tackled
and whispered to my
“You’ll never go home
to see the light of day again”
and all of this happened
when I was about ten
