As In A Slumber
It wasn’t out of the ordinary to see floods.
But hail? That’s a new one.
I didn’t witness the anomaly,
But others did. My sister and mother told me
About frozen water droplets that were not so big
And fleeting like mist.
They were smaller than Kelereng
In the game, Bekel, I used to play,
Masquerading as rain,
But louder and more forceful.
This sounded familiar,
As if in a slumber.
But like a dream upon waking
They too melt into pitiful puddles.
