It would be too late
Gently, mist rests upon the green
Early morning sun rays
Sparkle through the curtain gaps
Dazzled my eyes
A loud buzzing sound, echoing
The slaughter of dreams
Snapped from unconsciousness
Devouring the sense of peace
The endless silence penetrates the atmosphere
Thoughts caught in the air
Suddenly,
“Thump thump”, “thump thump”
A beating heart
Captures me back to the present
A sigh of relief
There is a fine line between life and death
And it is time
All things must come to an end
Even elegant flowers will
Eventually, wither
Death is an
Unquenchable sequence of life
A moment in existence
When every second is treasured.
