A black cat
A black cat whose fur is
like the night sky, sleek silky fur
It swiftly hops on a window’s ledge
As it is light as a shadow
Velvet paws pad softly through the deserted street
Tail high, bending like
the Grim Reaper’s scythe
Curse of the black cat
Wherever its paws rest
A signal, someone will perish.
Under the dim glow of the moon,
It casts shadows that dance with flair
While dreams take flight,
It paints the canvas of the silent night.
Yet, it is invisible with bare eyes.
The vague amber sight of light
reflected a crooked monster.
Its luminous golden eyes
glow in the darkness.
The endless stare swallows my sanity
Continuing crawling out of the dark
In fact,
An angel in disguise
It is just a black cat
Strolling in the silent night.
