Nothing
happened except a handful of lights.
Blinking
on,
off
on,
off like fireflies.
I imagined
music bursting out, filling the silent
space with a different
type of art.
But maybe it means that tomorrow
still holds hope.

I wrote this at a writing camp I attended at the local university where I live. We went to the art museum and I was inspired by a piece that was interactive. The title of the poem is the title of the painting.
