Storms
Storms
Rain, the unsteady heartbeat of
the Earth’s soul.
Pittering and pattering on windows of
people as they plummet from their
homes up above in the heavens.
Clouds, they hang heavy with the Earths
want and needs of hydration,
taunting the Earth with their soaked flesh.
Vegetation waits like panting dogs
for the liquid to be free of the gloomy gray cotton.
Lightning, dances across the sky
silent as mice, but noticeable for the human eye.
Faster than anything on Earth, the beam
seers anything in its wake.
Beautiful streams of light make peace and horror in the world.
Thunder, sounds of racing horses penetrate
through the world's atmosphere.
Soothing low grumbles of sorrow,
carry through the luscious air
to the ground below.
Storms together make beautiful
harmonies of the Earth’s living soul
to replenish and rebuild
the adoring green and blue world
Mother Nature gifted us.

This piece was very interesting and fun to write! I loved using my imagination and creativity to describe the elements of this Earth. I liked showing that the gloomy aspects like rain and clouds in our world can also be beautiful and be wonderful to our Earth.
