City Noise
“Tic tic tic”, “tic tic tic”
A haunting sound
Echoing in my head
repeatedly
Outside the window
Chill winds blow
While
The whisper of leaves
Penetrate the atmosphere
Birds must be exhausted
A morning without any chirping
Unusual,
But tranquil
The sun wakes from an
Endless, silent night
Warming and charming us
With the
Boundlessness of the sky, as it
Separates the heavens from the ground
Peaceful from boisterous
Under this warm
Presence there is
The rushing of others
Chaos of engines
Gasping through the air
Along the street
dreamers are
Depositing their youth
to follow their dream
Filled with passionate
Desires, that is the
City where
I am from,
Ho Chi Minh.
