Church Pews
What is the reason that makes me cry
every time I sit in a church pew?
As the hymns harmonize
tears dance down my face.
The light shining through the stained glass
reacts with my salty tears as if they are a glass prism.
The organ bellows my name
and taunts me
because I do not belong here.
