Bee in the Pool
There is an almost dead
bee in my pool,
who continuously swims in dread.
What kind of a fool
could get killed in a pool?
He goes ‘round
and ‘round in a circle
wishing he was back on the ground,
or maybe wishing he was a turtle.
Curse this earth that isn’t fertile!
He’s got nothing better to do,
I suppose.
If I were him, I’d be swimming too
Or wishing I was back on a pretty rose,
I suppose.
I am letting him sink
to the floor.
Preoccupied on my ink
instead of a poor
bee whose life had been so pure.
