The crimson candle
a flame of gentian blue and fiery gold shines
dancing and flickering, like stars sparkling
and beneath, a crimson red candle lies
glowing like lava, full of warm wax melting
and on its sides wax like bitter tears down-slides
time ticks by and the candle is mournfully shortening
the flame that now wavers was once bright
a long life well lived slowly melts away
soon what is now light will turn back to night
the gray wick wears thin into a dying fray
the light quivers as it struggles with all its might
but it fades into cold darkness before the end of the day
