rain trickling down arched nylon
salty tears running down cheeks
trembling fingers wrapped around cold metal
piano keys echoing through an empty tunnel
domed silhouette on silent, slender streets
a desk catching dust in a darkened room
eyes shaded, still catch each other
a key twists in the lock of a boarded door
the prod of a spoke into sore shoulders
the chilling awakening of reality after
a night of dreams
