2022 Traditions Contest: IT'S TV TIME
With the Ding Dong at Seven,
The Neurons of our body,
Signs Mr. Brain,
“IT’S TV TIME !!!”
My Mum behind the bathroom door,
My Dad behind the office door,
Bloomy behind the main door,
And my bored body on the couch,
We all turn around at the same time,
Cause, IT’S TV TIME.
Jumping on the half-broken couch,
Fighting for the sick remote…
It’s a tiny family party,
With laughter, sorrow and criticism.
Every night at, JAY house,
Celebrating the temporary happiness of ending,
We countdown for the next party,
To turn on.

this piece of writing is about the daily family nights at home. it's basically having dinner and watching the television leisurely. the poem ironically tells how we are obsessed with the night TV time and what kind of a pleasure we get from it.
I wrote it for the 2022 family traditions poem contest. Hope anyone who reads this, understand the purpose of it and enjoys it.
