Despair
Drowning in words, hands desperately clawing for the
surface.
Feeling invisible or nonexistent in a sea of people.
The choking sobs, trying to stay quiet late into the
night.
Hopelessness setting in like a shark unto prey.
No escape from the shadows that laugh and point out
every mistake.
Thoughts weighing tons, snuffing out the flame of
desire.
No way out, stuck and trapped like blood in veins.
A cage locked from the inside, if only they knew the
key was right there.
One day somebody will come release them, and relight
the flame.

This piece came straight from the heart and personal experiences. So many more people around us day by day all struggle with their own things, and if I were published, those people knowing they're not alone may save a life.
