I Loved Her First
I traverse the daydreams unrealized by buildings made of brick
If I am made for this world
Why do I search the wall for cracks
To make me feel less trapped?
I call me mine and relish in my own love
I will stay with me on my worst day
And cover her in moss to remind her and I will never leave.
She should know better than to scrutinize every detail of human nature
Because it will drive her insane.
I pack her bags for an adventure and listen to her heartbeat hasten into a halt
As she is seduced by the secrets denied her.
