Diamonds are a girl's best friend in need.
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend in need.
That’s what we’re supposed to want but take heed,
The glitz and glam is all a sham.
Diamonds are a girl's best friend in need.
For some reason we plead
For simple things
But yet indeed,
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend in need...
Diamonds are a girl's best friend in need.
But something that makes me uneasy
Is how diamonds are supposed to please me
I’m more deep than this, not sleazy
If anything this would make me flee
Because I'm not in need.
