Laying in the Darkness
Explaining my life,
Filled with clouds and stars,
With the occasional
feeling of darkness.
I wonder what they think of me,
If there are any left
To wonder.
I’ve been here
For what feels like forever,
Laying in the darkness.
I cry tears
When rain falls,
And laugh
When the sun shines.
Is there another side,
No one may ever know.
Running free
Until I reach the end.
But then,
I am trapped.
With no sense of joy.
I lay in the darkness,
And listen to my thoughts
But I will never stop dreaming
About the other side.
