The Darkling Path
I walk through a darkling path
In search of obscure light
The path is caved, and the way is blind
With none in my sight.
I tread with caution and in lone
Deliberately missing thorn and stone
For help, in the ethers I gaze
At Orion and Virgo with mystic daze.
The stars chart something I cannot hear
But it helps, for my mind is clear.
With insight I flirt with cherubim above
Who with nimbal aura show all bright.
A moment I lose my grounded gaze
I stumble to Earth from my daze
It is dark again and my legs bleed
As hope is lost in the hour of need.
I remember her face, it moves me
I stand and tread again to see,
For I’m a moth, one in many
Seeking warmth from the light of Love.
