Amplified
Heartbreak truly amplifies all your senses.
You touch every object carefully, cautious of whether it will hurt you like they did.
You breathe in the air cautiously, careful not to allow entry to any all too familiar smells of the past that result with you gasping for help.
You hang on to every last word of any song that even slightly sings to your bruised heart.
Your taste buds are more alert, lapping up any hint of them they can salvage from in between your gums.
You see them in everything you set eyes on, reminded of the pain they dumped on you, before your eyes start to glass over and you’re staring at nothing but your own thoughts

This is a personal peice that I'm sure a lot of teenagers and adults alike can relate to; it is about going through heartbreak and having it be so raw and fresh that everything around you hurts like they hurt you.
I hope this can pull someone else through like writing pulled me through.
