The Girl Who Was Broken And Died Lonely
Dark skies, dark lies
She’s broken, but she tries
She says she’s fine, but she’s breaking inside
Bad day, “I should die”
If only they knew, they would hate everything too
She lays alone in her room with nothing to do
She’s left with her thoughts, she sits and cries
She’s falling apart, letting the pain flow out of her eyes
They said as she got older things would get better
But now those words are coming back to get her
Every day is full of dread
Every day more and more wishing she was dead
Don’t let it show, don’t let them know
Let your guard down and they’ll go
They’ll leave you alone with nowhere to go
No one will love you, you’ll die alone
They don’t care
They never did
All they do is sit and stare
And she wishes she was never there
She’s breaking
Falling apart every day
She’s crying, shaking
Just wanting to be okay
Demons? Who are they?
They’re the ones who torture her every day
“You’re ugly” “You suck” “You’ll never be good enough”
Don’t sweat the small stuff
It gets worse, something they never tell you
“Kill yourself” from the inner demons
That sticks in your mind like glue
It leaves you to wonder “What did I do?”
You blame yourself, “it’s my fault”
It hurts
Like a cut and salt
Feeling as though you’re going to burst
Just knowing that everything’s going to get worse
It leads her to not want to get out of bed
They say that she’s just lazy
But with all of the pain and dread
It’s all driving her crazy
You’re probably all confused
“How come you always seem so happy, but you write about depression?”
Well, it’s a mask
A mask to make a good first impression
She hides the pain with a smile
Hoping they’ll believe it for at least a little while
Until that fake smile fades away
And all of them walk away
Who wants to be friends with a depressed freak?
Someone who is only joyful maybe once a week
She tries her best to stay strong
Just to get the feeling that she doesn’t belong
No one likes change
They just want everything to stay the same
Anything that they deem as wrong
They just say it doesn’t belong
She was the change
She was the difference
She was for good
But they just kept their distance
She tried to keep going
But she couldn’t do it
She left the world
And she knew she had blew it
Maybe it was a mistake
But she couldn’t live another day
All the bullying was too much
So, she just gave up
And now that she’s gone, they play a part
When all of them stared
They fall apart
But we all know that they never cared
Now that she’s gone
We’ll remember her story
As the girl who was broken
And died lonely
