If Only...
What if I had told you I was dying,
Would you have stayed by my side until my heart stopped?
What if I had told you I was destined for Hell,
Would you have marched through the fire holding my hand?
What if I had told you I wasn’t good enough,
Would you have spent hours convincing me that I was?
What if I had told you I was going to cause you pain,
Would you have taken the torture without a fight, but a smile?
What if I had told you I was about to break your heart,
Would you have let it be shattered into a million little pieces?
What if I had told you I had to leave and never return,
Would you have traveled to Earth's end to find and bring me back?
What if I had told you I didn't know what I was doing,
Would you have told me you didn't either, and that was okay?
What if I had told you I had no future at all,
Would you have given me your entire past and present?
What if I had told that I loved you,
Would you have said it back to me twice as much?
-The last words of a dead girl
Yes, I would have,
If only you had told me.
-The first whisper of a boy all alone
