Coveted Dove in the Leaves
Crying Angel that fell from the sky
Why are there tears in your eyes?
Why are there bruises on your skin?
Why is there blood running down your arm, leaking from your wrists?
Fallen angel you look prettiest when you’re mischievous
A small smile curled up on your face
Fallen angle that came from heaven why are there scars on your mind?
Suppressed memories and oppressed feelings
Fallen angle it’s okay to rest on me
I’ll wipe away your tears
I’ll hold you close so you can let it all out
I’ll pick the tiny thorns from your wings so you can stretch them out
Glow in radiance, don’t let these vines hold you down you can still find your way back up
Fallen angle ascending back to heaven why are there still tears in your eyes?
Don’t look at me like that we both knew this time would come
Don’t clip your wings for me
Let my silhouette fade into the tree’s darkness
Fallen angle sent to me from Heaven, why are there tears in my eyes?
