reaching in your pocket

to get your wallet

Is scary

So scared you don’t know

what type of officer you going to get ?

will he shoot ?

Getting pulled over for nothing

because you’re brown

Getting stopped while walking

because you’re brown

Getting accused of something suspicious

because you’re brown

Yeah, we brown

Yeah, we do dumb stuff but we are people too

Not a walking target

It’s scary for us

Too scary

I’m scared

of getting shot for no reason

of being famous and dead

I wanna be known as a good friend

I wanna be known as a good citizen
