A Few Beautiful Things
A few beautiful things
I saw in the reflection of your eyes;
(1) You scream small chants of worship into your pillowcase because then its unseen and unheard
(2) My heart is so open and you climb into it and absorb its blood and walk to another body dripping blood from your ungrazed fingertips.
Please dont mix blood types.
(3) under the floorboard lays a notebook with small pieces of waxy red crayons that were pressed with the utmost violence. And a note from your loved one.
(4) a little kiss on a mirror. You wish that your cleaning lady won't wash it off but she usually does.
(5) she has to press her chin to her shoulder so you cant see her laughing at you.
(6) two teen toddlers toddlers streaking through a field of wheat. The path they take leaves a wake of wheat pressed into an embrace with the ground.
(7) exactly 99 stars hug your vision in a cold clasp.
(8) lick floors of graphite. Do you want to eat more salad with a lite vinaigrette and thinly sliced carrots? Yes please!
