How Did We Grow Apart?
When we were young
We were best friends
Slip-n-slides in your backyard
“Spa Days” in mine
But then the time passed
I don’t know where it went
You didn’t tell me your struggles
I couldn’t help you
I was surprised when you went away
But I could still hear your voice
As I clutched the phone hard
Like a lifeline
Tears ran down my face
I missed you
And I couldn’t help you
And I couldn’t visit you
Even though you had helped me
