My Fire
When feeling cold and empty
parents are there to warm you
like a fire. They provide you
with nice kind hearted love and
joy; as a fire provides warm
delicious smores. A fire will whistle
and hiss when water is dumped
on it and parents undoubtedly will
do the same. Giving off smoke that
burns your eyes and shuns you away.
We might not always want to be
there next to them, but they will
pull us back with their warmth.
Though it pains us, they will burn
out and we will be left to pass the
torch to our children. Being the flame
they need.
