What I Wish I Could Tell You
You wanted me to fall, so I fell.
Hesitant at first then all at once.
You told me what was at the bottom was so good.
So I fell, for so long I couldn't tell which way was up.
When I hit the bottom my heart shattered, but I looked just the same.
I opened my eyes, you weren't there next to me.
You didn't tell me that we wouldn't fall together.
Now thinking, the me I knew before you would've known you would do that.
The me I know now would've loved you, shattered or not, and would still trust you if you told me to fall.
