Seeking Sun
I tried to hide from the sun
But he sought me.
During my journey to the spot where my day takes place
He always follows behind.
His watchful eye is what I can never escape
His purpose never vacates my mind
The sun never joins me on my journey home
When I arrive, he has already settled and hid
I assume he shined too brightly
And needed to be alone
I never miss his presence
For in a couple hours
I know he will rise and greet me again
No matter where he hides
I know I cannot hide from him.
