Is There Any Air in My Lungs?
Sometimes I feel like I can’t breathe. Like there is something psychically weighing on my chest, pushing the air out of my lungs. Yet when I look down nothing is there.
This feeling is there every day. It happens when I think about school, when I think about my future, even when I think about something as simple as talking to someone.
And nothing I do can ease it. Sometimes it gets to the point where I have to walk away and take a deep breath because I psychically cannot breathe. It’s almost like I start to hyperventilate, there is no air in my lungs.
I wish it wasn’t like this. Wish that I could wake up every day breathing easy, go all day without feeling my chest tighten and the air leave my lungs.
But that just doesn’t seem possible anymore.
