CAPITAL LOVE
i’ve always wanted Love,
true love.
but never even a hI,
would escape these lips.
i look everywhere seeing the over dramatiZation
of this thing I have no idea how to pronounce.
like a train moving on a one way rail,
i just need to switch tracks.
“be a man,” my friends tell me,
as they hold the hands of the girls
they barely broke a sweat to have.
should it be so easy?
i feel the need to be resuscitated,
every time I see her smile.
i try to memoriZe,
the contours of her face.
i sneak looks,
to bask in this girl’s beautY.
i secretly hope she catches me,
because inside i’m dying
from this wound deep in my heart.
