Abandonment
My heart is enveloped in a thick blanket of abandonment
Coated there by leeches who drain my love til their genitals content
Knock on it
Feel the hollowness waltz with your ears
My heart may be locked tight
But my mind is still ruled by its fear:
"Are his words empty?
Do his promises of infatuation hold true?
Will my resistence of engaging in his so-called 'love' make me prude?"
I am like a candle intertwined with a flame
Slowly burning down to nothing til his flicker disappears into thin air
Yet that's a candle's purpose, so who's really to blame?
It's all fair
My embodiment was designed for this pain
It's all part of this mad game
That I no longer want to play
...But still, "Hey,
I love you, okay?"
Those three empty words always seem to pull me back into this game of sin
And just like that..
Round 2 begins.
