What is Normal?
I see 23 puzzled faces
as she explains,
but when she asks
if anybody is confused,
Nobody raises their hand.
Except one girl.
Everyone giggles at her
under their breath.
Why is it that those brave enough
to express themselves
are put down by others
that are to afraid to
show how they feel?
We hold our true self in
For fear of judgement.
But if everyone was their true self
We’d see that everyone is different.
“Normal” people are simply those
Who hold the most in.

Sometimes I see people and I assume they are just like everyone else. That’s the image that they want people to see, because they don’t want to seem “weird.” I have this one friend who is like that, but once I got to know her, I learned that there are so many special things about her, she is just afraid to show them.
