Don the Man
Don was always a good guy
just a little messed up
not many friends
always a drink in his cup.
He’d hang out in the bar
it was obvious he wouldn’t make it far.
Though highly underestimated,
lots of things changed.
Don found a job
his life was rearranged.
He walked to work
on the coldest of days
most of the time
it seemed somewhat of a haze.
It’s six years later and Don is a man
he’s grown up and found his plan.
He works as a salesman, nine to five,
wife and three kids,
never felt more alive.
