Remember when
Remember when we jumped in rain puddles without a care in the world
Or swam in the bathtub thinking we might make it to a magical undersea world
We twirled in princess dresses, thinking “thats what I want to be when I grow up!”
Only now we try to be like others and cover up
Cover up our flaws and everything to be seen
Just because people are mean
And don’t like what they’ve seen
We’re now in our teens
No longer thinking we’re a queen
We’re in between of
“Should I be thick or lean?”
No matter how much I try, I go unseen
