Dreams of Peace
I had a dream last night,
I’ve had a dream every night I’ve been “alive”,
This dream though,
Was a special one,
It was filled with good,
Yet evil soaked through,
Almost masking the goodness underneath,
In the dream,
I had fallen,
The fall was far,
Yet lasted for only a minute,
As I was falling,
All of the things I have ever feared,
Crawled out of their hiding spaces,
Fear of abandonment,
Fear of rejection,
Fear of heights,
Spiders,
And all creepy crawlies,
All of it flooded my once absent mind,
As I grew closer to fate,
The fears slowly began to fade,
And just as I hit the water below,
My mind was completely cleared of the fears intolerable presence,
I slowly sunk to the bottom of the ocean abyss that I had fallen into,
I was at peace once and for all,
But I soon awoke from the state of emptiness and peace,
And my eyes brought me back to reality,
A place where fear exists,
A place where fear divides us.
