The Razor

You thought I did this to myself.
Maybe I did, and maybe you caused this.
Maybe the fact that you told me you loved me
Then went at it with my best friend did this to me
All I know is that the sharp edge biting at my skin and
The red liquid running down my skin, hot, feels so nice.
When the marks appear it reminds me of you,
And remembering you hurts, so I runaway.
Running away feels so nice.
They say it’s your fault I’m the empty shell
Of the person I used to be.
The nice, funny, sweet, outgoing girl everyone used to know.
Now, I’ve locked myself away in the ivory tower,
No one knows who I am anymore.
It’s your fault.
It’s my fault.
It’s everyone’s fault
But if there’s one thing I learned from this experience, it’s that
The razor’s my new best friend….

this is very good i love it so much i can totally relate to it all the way i use to cut but then i got locked away i cried when i read this cause its so try

this sounds like me..... some of my friends can relate too. really good; sounds really realistic for someone who hasnt actually cut

it's strong, but i would have put more concrete images rather than feelings. For instance, instead of saying "running away," you could describe the running.

this is amazing :) i liek the raw emotion of it. the pain u fell. i can feel it too as i read. i liek the adjectives described in it. it is twistedly genius :)

I think its great because some people actually do go through this I'm not one of them but my close friend did and this poem how dangerous feeling are.

Ok, I am the auhtor! Let me clear something up.... I DO NOT cut myself. Instead I write poetry and stories... Just wanted to clear that up

This poem is great. I can understand what you mean. I have been hurt by people so much. I blame them for my actions, my anger, and my hurt feelings. it's just sad that they don't care. But i guess some people are like that. Please keep writing and if you are cutting yourself, realize that the person/people who caused your pain are not worth you time.

wow... this is such a moving poem. i got chills :) you are a gifted writer, and it is sad that you cut yourself. no one is worth that, remember that.
