Dear, MAG
It's easier to express your feelings on a
piece of paper,
Because paper won't make your voice quiver or your hands tremble
Paper understands and paper listens.
Paper comforts my heart when it aches, searching for words I wish I could only say,
And paper won't walk away, paper
always stays.
Paper knows my secrets and thoughts
I have at 1 a.m.
As it clears my mind and my messy head.
I feel as though paper loves and maybe
loves too hard,
For paper should know that nothing
with me lasts that long.
But paper is the wisest of teachers and
honest of friends,
Who gave me inner strength to finally
love myself again.
And even paper knows where it will go,
Thrown in the trash or just left alone.
But paper is smart and paper whispers to me,
Instead of being somebodies, be somebody.
