A Hole Is Where The Heart Is
It’s too quiet around here.
I can’t even hear the painful words of my Fear.
My mind isn’t really blank.
Everything kinda feels dank.
I can’t feel the warmth of their smiles.
Cigarette butts by the piles.
I don’t have any problems to rip my soul into shreds.
The signs of pain and loss above their heads.
Listening to Moby and wondering what’s next.
This subject continues to have me vexed.
Generally happy about life.
There is no more painful strife.
This is a good thing, and I shouldn’t be writing such painful sentences.
I have to realize that there is happiness and fulfillment on the premises.
There will be pain, but I can turn it around.
I will be able to stand on solid ground.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
Come what may.
I will still be here.
Never again full of fear.
