To forget
Is to lose
To remember
Is to relive
Memory
Is sanity
Insanity is bliss
From a life no one wants
But very few achieve
With memories
Comes pain
Bringing along with it
A path of dismay
And sorrow
That shreds the heart
To be carried in the wind
Into the palms
Of those who piece it back together
One
By
One
Just to be ripped
Again
But each time
It is easier
For the scars and rips are still there
Waiting to be freshly opened
By the forbidding hands of love.
