Subway
?
I am sitting among strangers,
not making a noise or sound,
not thinking about the possible dangers.
Not even bothering to look around.
It’s if so I have lost my spirit;
taking a long journey on the city subway.
No one talking to me, but a voice in my head, hear it.
It’s probably saying it’s okay; it’s Monday.
My mind speaks, but not my body,
slouching over on the plastic seat.
Silence engulfs my body,
That’s why I stare at my dismal feet.
