Years Of Yesterday MAG
I wish I was young enough to:
hold a doll
leave tiny handprints on the wall
suck my thumb
play dumb
trick or treat
have Mommy clean my feet
fingerpaint
When in trouble look like a saint
make a mess
rip my dress
Bang on pots and pans
hold tight to Mommy's hand
read nursery rhymes
Have a tooth fall out and get a dime
wear what my mother picks out
get my way by giving a pout
wear pajamas all day long
sing the alphabet song
ride on the kiddy swings
pretend to be queens and kings
ride the horse in front of K-Mart
express every feeling in my heart
believe in Santa Claus
run around all day without a pause
If wishes came true, I would go back ten years, and play
hide-and-seek all day without any cares.
