Seemingly still,
absolutely alone,
thinking thoughts,
about life and love
and nonfat brownies,
at three o'clock
in the moon-lit morning.
The confusion of my room
blocks out the sounds
of whispering trees.
No one answers
the questions I'm asking,
and I wonder
if anyone's listening.
