Fear
Swimming in a pool of it.
Electricity shocks the water.
Surrounded.
Sinking.
It tenses my muscles.
Paralyzed, unable to move.
Legs frozen still.
Not blinking.
It blocks my throat.
Can’t speak or scream.
Refusing any oxygen.
Sending shivers from head to toe.
Neck long.
Fists open.
Vulnerable.
Drowning.
No feeling left in my body.
Completely numb.
Utterly senseless.
Unable to escape.
Fear…
