Intense, marauding eyes stare into my soul
Engulfing and stealing mysecrets
Poking and prodding through my brain
Stripping me of anycover
Until I'm completely vulnerable
Utterly naked and exposed toyou
You know everything now, no doubt
And though I stare back deeply
Insearch of some hidden thought or insight
I am completely blind to you
Shutout, unable to trespass
And I can only see your beautiful eyes
Long-lashedand wide with concentration
Aquamarine and tawny brown
Then I accidentallyblink
And you've won again.
