The Deep Blue
Calm water as the sun sets on the lake.
Chills run down my back as I see my reflection
This has made me feel awake.
Sand stuck to my feet as my hair blows.
The wind blows in my direction.
Calm water as the sun sets on the lake.
Closing my eyes I take a long break
I listen to birds chirping and reflect
This has made me feel awake
Water drifts up from the lake
I gave the seashells an inspection
Calm water as the sun sets on the lake
My wet sandy feet ache
I’ve always stared at the reflection,
This has made me feel awake.
I feel so free in the lake.
My life headed in one good direction,
Calm water as the sun sets on the lake.
This has made me feel more awake.
