I wish I could live in my fantasies
There I was, standing in a gorgeous sunflower field, brushing my fingers against the petals of the flowers as I walked barefoot. The sun was shining and I had to shield my eyes from the brightness. I looked over at the beautiful maple tree which stood tall and proud. A beautiful butterfly, with lavender wings landed on my finger. I smiled; marveling at how the smallest things carried the most beauty. I lied down on the grass at it tickled my feet. The wind blew through my hair and swayed my long white dress. It was in that moment I felt like a princess.
But then I heard a horrible, disgusting sound. ‘BEEP, BEEP, BEEP’. My mind filled with dread and terror. My beautiful field disappeared and I rubbed eyes. I shook of my covers off and sat up straight. I angrily smashed the stop button on my horrible alarm clock. Here we go, I thought to myself. Another dreadful day of high school.
