Father for an angel
There is no correct way to define a loss. One second everything is fine the next you’re fighting the truth. I myself have never been a fighter. Never felt the need to act irrationally. I was the kind of girl that strived for problems; wanted people to feel sorry for me. Now I’m the one feeling sorry for myself. Four years ago I thought I had life figured out 14 years old and ready to handle my own problems. The one thing I never actually took the time to realize is sometimes problems have no capacity limit. The overflow of hopelessness settled in the day after he left. No one ever noticed me, made me feel special and brave like he did. The man who made me believe in myself is the man I now call my angel. Heaven sure has its hand full with a man like you. The best father a girl could ask for suddenly couldn’t be asked for anymore. I’ll carry your pride forever and never let you down, at least that’s what I hope for.
