I Love You Anyway MAG
As a child you made me see
that you were my mom but not a mother to me
Yes you were there for me my first four years
Then you left me all alone, did you think that was fair
You told me you would be back for me, that what you said
Waiting and believing, I sat on the edge of the bed
Hoping and wishing that the bed was all mine
But it couldn't and it wasn't, but you thought that was just fine
I had to accept that you weren't coming back for me
But I prayed anyway, even on bended knee
That I would have a mother to be there for me
You, me, my sister, just one big happy family
But I realize now that everything doesn't go my way
I just want you to know that I love you anyway
